Far from the busy routes, this journey takes you into the High Atlas, where village life still follows the rhythm of the seasons. After two days in Marrakech, you cross the mountains to Boutghrar and the Aït Bouguemez valley, the “Happy Valley”, with its walnut trees, terraced fields and earthen villages.
Two walks with a certified mountain guide, picnic lunches with a view, charming guesthouses and an ecolodge, a lakeside evening at Bin El Ouidane and the thundering Ouzoud waterfalls make this an easy-going escape for travellers who love nature and authentic encounters.

01
Arrival in Marrakech
Welcome to the Red City.
- Private welcome at Marrakech-Menara Airport and transfer to your riad (20 to 30 min).
- The rest of the day at leisure to soak up the atmosphere of the medina and Jemaa el-Fna square.

Marrakech, the Red City
A morning with an official English-speaking guide (about 3 hours), then an afternoon at your own pace.
- Koutoubia Mosque and its minaret (exterior view).
- Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs.
- The colourful souks and the lively Jemaa el-Fna square.
- Afternoon at leisure: Majorelle Garden, a hammam or a rooftop terrace (optional).

Marrakech – High Atlas – Boutghrar
Cross the High Atlas to a peaceful mountain village (310 km, approx. 6 hours with stops).
- The Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m) and the Berber villages of the High Atlas.
- Ouarzazate and the palm grove of Skoura.
- Kalaat M’Gouna, the Valley of Roses.
- Arrival in Boutghrar, high in the M’Goun valley, and dinner at your guesthouse.

Boutghrar Walk – Aït Bouguemez
A first taste of mountain walking, then on to the Happy Valley.
- Morning guided walk of about 2 hours around Boutghrar with a certified mountain guide.
- Picnic lunch in the heart of the valley.
- Scenic mountain drive to the Aït Bouguemez valley.
- Evening at your kasbah, surrounded by green fields and walnut trees.

Hiking the Happy Valley
A full day on foot through the Aït Bouguemez valley with a certified mountain guide.
- Paths between earthen villages, fields and walnut groves.
- Meetings with local families and a glass of mint tea.
- Picnic lunch with the High Atlas peaks as a backdrop.
- A peaceful evening at your ecolodge.

Aït Bouguemez – Bin El Ouidane
Mountain roads lead to one of Morocco’s most beautiful lakes (approx. 2h30).
- Scenic drive through the Atlas valleys.
- Arrival at the turquoise lake of Bin El Ouidane.
- Afternoon to relax by the water, or try kayaking or a boat trip (optional).
Meals : breakfast and dinner included; lunch not included.
Overnight : Bin El Ouidane.

Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech
Morocco’s highest waterfalls, then back to the Red City.
- The Ouzoud Waterfalls, plunging 110 m into a green gorge.
- Free time to walk to the viewpoints and the foot of the falls.
- Return to Marrakech in the afternoon (approx. 3 hours).

Departure from Marrakech
Breakfast and time for a last stroll through the souks, depending on your flight.
- Private transfer to Marrakech-Menara Airport (20 to 30 min) and end of our services.
